As the background painter on these projects in most cases I work directly with a background designer who is resposible for the design and I am responsible for painting. This section is devoted to a more stylized realistic approach to a background.It involves much more intense painting that focuses on naturalism or an exageration of naturalism. Having a background as a traditional painter has served me very well in executing these styles and on Generator Rex at Cartoon Network I earned two Emmy nominations. This is where we also get a chance to use those "tricks" that make photoshop so much fun to use.'
